The purpose and objective is to get the Washington, DC region to remain focused on ending homelessness for those living in the area. From veterans to families, we work to ensure that everyone will have a place to call home. Our target population is the full spectrum of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, from those with serious mental health challenges or addictions who have been living on the streets for many years and who need intensive, ongoing services, to those in temporary financial crisis who may need only a little help to get back on their feet.
Friendship Place offers the most effective model for addressing homelessness, with innovative, customized, person-centric programs that empower participants to rebuild their lives, find homes, get jobs and reconnect with friends, family and the community, permanently. All proceeds raised will go directly back into funding our programs.
There is no dress code, but being a walk, it would be best to wear casual/active wear.
